Hypnosis is a normal and natural method of altering our state of consciousness. It is very pleasant and relaxing but at one with deep concentration. Hypnotherapy is the application of hypnotic techniques in such a way as to bring about therapeutic change.
Hypnosis itself reduces anxiety and this is done very simply through relaxation and visualisation, allowing you to focus on the positive aspects of your life that encourages a shift in perspective. Resolving unwelcome habits and thought patterns at a subconscious level means that hypnosis can help the parts that other approaches can’t reach!
Why is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy called a ‘brief’ therapy?
It is called a ‘brief’ therapy because it works incredibly quickly; most people suffering from anxiety and/or depression disorders can expect to be back to their real selves again within 8-12 sessions. Treatments of simple fears and phobias take as little as 3 sessions and smoking/vaping cessation is a single 2 hour session*.
Can we work magic?!
If the answer was yes, our therapy team would all be very wealthy! Many people believe that Hypnotherapy is something that is “done” to them, that they explain their issue to the therapist who then simply hypnotises their problem away, as if by magic. In a small percentage of people this direct approach can work, but that itsnt good enough for us – we want to help everyone to make lasting change.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a much more collaborative process and it is important to understand that change happens because you want it to and because you are prepared to take the necessary steps to allow it to happen. Provided you are willing to make changes, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can be highly effective in relieving the symptoms of many mental health issues.

FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION:
Designed to assess what you want to achieve, how hypnotherapy can help you and how many sessions you are likely to need and answer your questions.
HYPNOTHERAPY SESSIONS:
First Half:
We discuss your progress and what has been good since we last saw each other, gently encouraging you to express yourself positively. We focus on you preferred future, rather than analysing problems of the past, so you will not be expected to relive distressing memories or talk in detail about embarrassing problems.We use solution focused questions to help you identify your next steps.
Second Half:
A lovely opportunity to allow yourself to relax. This bit is all us, you dont need to do anything but make the choice to unwind and we will guide you into Hypnosis, where we consolidate everything that we have discussed.
You can leave feeling relaxed and calm, with both your conscious and subconscious aligned and ready for the next steps forward.
