Fertility is the natural capability of initiating, sustaining or supporting reproduction.
A fertile state is a state of mental and physical balance which is experienced as a state of well being.
When the mind and body are in a state of well being the body will naturally produce the conditions needed for reproduction.
Infertility affects 1 in 7 couples in the UK and where there is no diagnosed medical condition preventing conception the impact or implications of infertility can itself cause psychological issues with becoming pregnant, including:-
Feelings of frustration, guilt, jealousy, anger, hopelessness
Relationship difficulties (partner, family, friends)
Decrease in sexual intimacy and affection
Loss of trust in one’s body
Problems at work
Low self-esteem and self-worth
Hypnotherapy can be a helpful tool in redressing the mental and physical balance and providing a better state of well-being where conception can become possible by:-
Increasing feelings of calm and relaxation
Restoring physical, mental and emotional balance and wellbeing
Identifying and resolving issues that may be preventing conception (subconscious and conscious)
Preparation for conception
“I started seeing Old Town Hypnotherapy in order to get my worrying under control as my husband and I wanted to start a family. After the first session I felt a lot better, they explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable. It was nice just knowing that I wasn’t the only person that thought the way I did. After 6 sessions’s I felt back to my normal self and felt I had my worrying under control. I will always be grateful to Old Town Hypnotherapy for their help and guidance. I am now 26 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. I can’t recommend this form of treatment enough.”*
